Slipstream IT’s Post

One of the things I love about working in rare disease is the ability to define natural history and burden. Our article published in Hematology found that HHT, which had largely been defined by its most obvious sign, nosebleeds, is actually a complex disease of bleeding in multiple end organs resulting in anemia in most patients, and severe anemia requiring hematologic support in a quarter of patients. Bleeding in the liver increased risk of transplant 40-fold. HHT is a serious illness in need of new treatments. My colleagues at Diagonal Therapeutics are on that journey to make an incredible difference in patients’ lives! https://lnkd.in/g9Gd2CFY
