This is not hard. Don’t make this about politics. It’s about leadership and culture. Let me help you. Your company has values and policies, right? If an employee blatantly disregards either, what happens? - If they use the company credit card to buy personal stuff, what happens? - If they engage in a romantic relationship with a subordinate, what happens? - If they consciously mismanage funds, what happens? If your company has integrity, they get fired. Because if you don’t fire them, others will know they, too, can go to concerts on your dime or sleep with their employees or embezzle without consequence. So if you say you value inclusion and an employee engages in hateful or racist behavior, what SHOULD happen? This is a no-brainer. Don’t overthink it. #boeing #raceatwork #inclusion #mondaythoughts One more thing: Check out how smart this is! (I’m still thinking about it.) Now racists know not to apply to Boeing. And people who value inclusion will be searching their job postings. Brilliant talent strategy. I expect to see Boeing’s diversity representation spike in the next 18 months if they keep this up.

Tara Jaye Frank I hear you. One big problem is the loyalty factor of men being loyal to their "boys" despite their awareness of wrongdoing. It's almost as being loyal to the friendship and their friend, the aggressor, responding to that loyalty atones for that error--public sin--between them at the expense of the victims. At the C-suite level, leaders are no longer dealing with just nameless colleagues but trusted friends who they had over for their child's birthday.

Another great post, Tara Jaye Frank. Training and promoting Core Values are done on the front end. Holding people accountable to those Core Values is the back end. Without that accountability, those Core Values are simply words on a plaque.

Sad that this is still news worthy. Just as you stated, if I used company card, I would be gone. Just common sense. 🤷🏽♂️
