Thinking with the planet, not about it. This powerful shift in perspective is the central thread running through 'Terrafilia', an exhibition presented by the Museo Thyssen and curated by Daniela Zyman (TBA21), opening on July 1st. Far from a traditional exhibition, Terrafilia invites us to engage with nature as an active participant — challenging anthropocentric views and proposing new modes of planetary coexistence. The show brings together diverse works, practices, and perspectives that foreground the agency of nature and envision a more entangled, reciprocal relationship between all forms of life. It offers a space to pause, reflect, and reimagine our role within the Earth’s ecosystems. The architectural layout, designed by Marina Otero Verzier, takes the form of a winding path — a metaphor for a non-linear, intuitive journey shaped by the rhythms and intelligence of nature itself. Her design helps cultivate a deeper sensorial and conceptual connection with the themes of the exhibition. We also recognize the invaluable contribution of Finsa, whose commitment to sustainability has been essential. Their responsibly sourced wood materials were fundamental in giving form to this vision and creating an environment that resonates with the show’s ethos. 'Terrafilia' is more than an exhibition — it’s a collective invitation to imagine new ways of thinking, living, and relating with the planet we all share. #Terrafilia #MuseoThyssen #TBA21 #DanielaZyman #MarinaOtero #GrupoFinsa #Sustainability #EcologicalThinking #ExhibitionDesign #ArtAndEcology #PlanetaryFutures #DesignWithNature #ClimateCulture #Cosmopolitics
