Tejaswini Gowda’s Post

Participating in DEV UP 2025 has been an incredibly rewarding and transformative journey. It offered the perfect blend of practical knowledge, fresh inspiration, and collaborative learning, while also providing the opportunity to connect with some of the most talented professionals from the firm. What stood out most was the spirit of sharing, collaboration, and growth—reminding us that the real value of such events lies not just in the sessions we attend, but in the connections we build and the ideas we carry forward. Day 1: The first day set the tone with inspiring discussions, interactive workshops, and hands-on sessions focused on engineering excellence and resiliency. Technology leaders encouraged us to embrace curiosity, adaptability, and a commitment-driven culture. I learned about the importance of empathy in accessibility, AI-driven collaboration, and resilient system architectures, gaining practical insights to enhance my team’s work. The learning continued in the expo booths offered by our fellow engineers on various tracks of Dev Up where they showcased their innovative solutions to some of the common problems. The ‘ahaa’ moment for most of us would be the Data center tour and the Key notes from our leaders. Day 2: Day two deepened my appreciation for innovation and security. Leaders Scot Baldry and Pat Opet emphasized that security is the foundation of technological advancement, advocating for a “secure by design” mindset. Their insights on discipline, teamwork, and early collaboration with experts were invaluable. I connected with peers, learned about streamlined development and cloud operations, and felt inspired by the culture of security-driven innovation and growth fostered throughout the event. Had a great evening at The Star, home of Cowboys practice facility. Enjoyed the dinner, games and music with our fellow attendees. Day 3: The final day was a highlight, featuring Angie Jones’s (Global VP of developer relations at Block, Inc) keynote on agentic AI and the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Her talk showcased efficient AI integration, with robust security, and designing for real user needs. The closing ceremony, graciously hosted by our sponsors Gill and Scott, reinforced the significance of the event. It reminded us of the value of the connections we built, the lessons we absorbed, and the ways we can apply them to grow further in our work and personal journeys. As a next step, we plan to consolidate all the learnings into a summary and prepare GO links for easy reference. Along with this, we will also share tips and guidance to help the team draft and submit impactful abstracts for the upcoming Dev Up sessions. Truly grateful to have been part of this experience and excited to apply these learnings moving ahead!
