💡 Did you know? IT professionals actually get paid for clicking the keyboard the right way and moving the mouse cursor at the right moment. Sounds easy, right? Until you realize one wrong click can shut down a server, crash a system, or send “that email” to the entire company. 🤦♂️😂 So yes — we click, we move, and somehow… we keep the world running. 🌍💻

The Memory - RAM and Storage 🧠 Ready for a tech quickie? 💻 What's the real difference between your computer's "to-do list" and its permanent library? It's all about RAM and storage. Think of RAM (Random Access Memory) as your computer's short-term memory or your desk. It holds everything you're actively working on right now—from the browser tabs you have open to the software you're running. It's fast but temporary. When you shut down your computer, everything on the "desk" is cleared. Then you have storage (HDD/SSD), which is like your computer's permanent filing cabinet. This is where all your files, photos, applications, and documents are saved for the long haul, even when the power is off. HDDs (Hard Disk Drives) are traditional spinning disks, while SSDs (Solid-State Drives) use flash memory, making them much faster. Mastering the relationship between these two is key to optimising your computer's performance. The Google IT Support Professional Certificate teaches you how to manage both to keep your system running smoothly. Want to become a tech pro? If your Gmail storage is almost full, Here's How To Declutter And Free Up Storage Space. 👇 1. Customize Your Category Settings → Open Gmail and go to Settings → Click "See all settings" → Navigate to the "Inbox" tab → Uncheck categories you find unimportant or unnecessary. 2. Delete Emails by Category In the search bar, type: category:{chosen category} Ex - category:promotions. Select all emails and delete. Repeat this process for each category you want to clean up. 3. Remove Old Emails Use the search operator "older_than:{x}y" to find emails from past years. Ex: older_than:2y (for emails older than 2 years). Adjust the number to suit your needs (1, 3, or 5 years). Select all and delete. 4. Delete Large Attachments Search for "has:attachment larger:{x}" to find emails with big files. Ex- "has:attachment larger:10mb" This step will significantly reduce your email storage usage. Informative or not. 😉

RemNote runs offline-first: each device downloads a full copy of your notes, which then instantly syncs to other devices as you edit. This allows you to work without an internet connection, and makes loading documents, images, and files and searching your knowledge base much faster. However, it also means logging in to a new device takes some time to download all your notes. To speed that up, we’ve built a new optimized login system. On large accounts on slow devices, login should now be 4–10x faster!
