Through Their Eyes is an art-based research project we worked on for two years. Together with six photographers, we documented visible changes in the faces of frontline medics — before and after attending Repower’s 10-day psychological recovery program. We chose Scandinavia’s key political event — Almedalsveckan — for the first public presentation. A place where critical decisions about Ukraine are being made. Through Their Eyes is a silent testimony of war, captured in portraits. A documentary archive of what war does to a human being. A project where art became a tool for exploring inner changes. Among those who witnessed it were Pål Jonson, Minister for Defence of Sweden; Sara Skyttedal Dihang, Member of the European Parliament; Helena Bladh, Head of Public Policy in Sweden; Ann-Sofie Alm, Member of the Riksdag; as well as representatives of international diplomatic missions.
