On August 6, 2025, University Hospital and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School celebrated the opening of the new Clinical Skills Center (CSC), a major milestone in clinical education. Hosted by Dr. Maria L. Soto-Greene, Executive Vice Dean of NJMS, the event featured remarks from: Dr. Robert L. Johnson, Dean, NJMS Dr. Amy Murtha, Dean, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Dr. Kaitlan Baston, Interim President & CEO, University Hospital Dr. Iris Herrera MD, MPH, FACP, CMO & CMIO, University Hospital Vaishnavi Guddeti, NJMS Student Council President Assemblywoman Eliana Pintor Marin Senate Majority Leader Teresa Ruiz A ceremonial ribbon cutting, led by CSC Co-Directors Dr. Maria Laboy and Dr. Sophia Chen, marked the official launch of this innovative space.
