Last week I had the privilege to attend the Bitcoin Policy Summit in Washington D.C., hosted by the Bitcoin Policy Institute. This year's summit marked a real shift in how Bitcoin is being discussed at the federal policy level. For the first time, there was a clear bipartisan willingness to engage seriously with Bitcoin on its own terms not just as a subset of “crypto,” but as a distinct, policy-relevant technology with national and global implications. Credit goes to the BPI and its fellows, who continue to do the hard work of educating policymakers, grounding the conversation in research, and elevating the level of discourse in Washington. It’s no small task, and they’re doing it with clarity and conviction. If you're working in or around Bitcoin and care about how U.S. policy shapes its future, keep an eye on what the BPI is doing. They’re setting the standard.
