Army's cyber integration challenge: A DoD's biggest hurdle

The DoD's biggest challenge isn't tech. It's integration. 📌 In this DefenseScoop article, reporter Mark Pomerleau explores how the Army plans to inject more tactical cyber capabilities into division-level units over the next two years, aiming to integrate RF and cyber effects directly into battlefield operations. It's a shift that highlights how complex the intersection between strategy, software, and soldiers can be. 🤔 We asked our CEO, Donte Lewis, what stood out: "I have learned over the years that the pointiest end or edge of mission is either bombarded with tools and capabilities they can’t use and/or they’re starving for capabilities they desperately need. Much of that is lost in translation at the strategic and program levels, just based on how the DoD is structured and traditionally operates. The warfighters at the edge of the mission speak a different lexicon, with a more granular (tactical) focus than the people creating capabilities. In addition, the senior leadership layer has their own lexicon, focus, and approach. Where and when these three worlds collide, there are inherent challenges that result in the warfighters not getting what they need when needed. The key to making this work is understanding the entirety of these three worlds. Integrating them to improve communication, planning, strategy, and execution. This adds immeasurable value for all stakeholders, especially the warfighter." 💬 What are you seeing as your organization pushes toward the future? 🔗Link to Article: https://lnkd.in/eKCkSxDc
