Welcome to the Renewable Energy Grid Integration Week, where experts, industry leaders and researchers from around the world come together to tackle the challenges of integrating renewables into our power systems, including advanced grid forming control, sector coupling, electromobility, hydrogen applications and evolving regulatory frameworks. It's very down to earth. It runs away a little bit from the clouds of academia and brings the stuff really into the. 30 center stage of technology development. So you get the ones you get utilities research centers in universities and they are actually talking about the actual problems that they have and they are facing. The discussions go beyond theory. Participants bring real-world challenges to the table and work on solving them together. Professionals from different backgrounds come together to dive deep into key topics like grid forming or storage. There's many challenges that this event adresses very well, but the maybe the most effective one that it addresses is how to operate systems with a very high penetration of inverted based resources, for example batteries, but also wind and solar. The event talks about these topics in a very comprehensive manner, but it doesn't stop there. It also goes to other topics that are important such as having power plants, hydrogen and flexibility. It gets really deep into sort of the nerdy geeky power engineering details. The entire track that's on grid forming is really unique. You can't find that anywhere else. But this event is about more than just technical discussions. It's a meeting point for people across continents, connecting, exchanging ideas and building a global network of collaboration. People come here from all over the world, from South and North America, from Asia, from Africa, from Australia and from Europe. Of course, And I think there's international exchange is extremely valuable for everyone in the community. Attending these events. I think I've been here almost from the start, has really contributed to my network. It's like a family already. So I'm only here for a day and it already feels like you know each other and you get very easily into contact. And that atmosphere, this warm welcome also is, yeah, spread out over the conference. If I just see how we exchanged in this recent days, during coffee breaks and also evening events, colleagues got together to talk with each other and exchange their knowledge and they were burning for topics and exchanging insights which you cannot simply transfer via e-mail or different types of medium. Since the very first wind integration workshop in 2000, the Renewable Energy Grid Integration Week has grown into a hub for global energy dialogue. With its dedicated conferences on wind, solar, hydrogen and e-mobility. It fosters collaboration across sectors and borders, and the conversation started here don't stop when the conferences do. They continue across industries, countries and disciplines, helping shape the power grids of tomorrow.
