🌡️✨ Why Increasing Server Supply Air Temperature Matters? , Do you think that it is doing more with less approach ??. Recently, I’ve been focusing on server room cooling strategies and found that following the ASHRAE TC 9.9 guidelines on supply air temperature can have a major impact on both efficiency and sustainability. Instead of keeping server inlets “as cold as possible,” TC 9.9 now recommends running supply air between 18°C and 27°C (64°F to 81°F). Raising supply air temperatures lets cooling systems operate less, which means: Significant energy savings for the data center A smaller carbon footprint Higher operational efficiency, with modern servers safely able to run at these ranges Technically, today’s IT equipment is designed for these warmer conditions. Advanced monitoring and airflow management ensure reliability while reducing the load on chillers and air conditioners.
