ATMC members recently contributed to a global research partnership with the Business Travel Association (UK) and GEBTA (Spain), examining fragmentation in corporate travel. Key insights from the UK market include: • 62% of business trips are domestic • 72% of travellers already use TMCs • 51% want integrated, multi-modal booking systems • Rail is seen as better than car for environmental impact (73%) and productivity (69%) While the findings are UK-based, the themes reflect challenges across the Australian market, fragmented content, limited rail options and disconnected booking systems continue to hinder efficiency and sustainability. As business travel evolves, ATMC remains committed to representing members in discussions that shape future infrastructure and industry frameworks, nationally and globally. July 2025 was a record month for Sønderborg Airport, with 4,386 travelers starting their holiday or business trip here – that’s a 26% increase compared to last year. So far this year, 34,971 passengers have chosen Sønderborg, marking a 15% growth overall. This success is driven by a wider selection of charter flights and very popular seasonal route to Rønne amongst others. With charter season running until November, travelers can still look forward to destinations like Munich, Vienna, and Madeira. “We are very pleased with the support for our charter destinations,” says Jákup Sverri Kass, Director of Sønderborg Airport. 1yI would really like to see the questions posed to the respondants for these questionnaires. Zürich main station has only 10% of the traffic of a main station in Paris and London so of course it will be easier to move around more comfortably. London and Paris pull in over 20+ million tourists a year.
