As 2024 draws to a close, let's take a moment to celebrate a year that has truly been unforgettable. With four events selling out, milestone anniversaries, countless success stories and the launch of a brand-new event, our journey has been nothing short of amazing. Let's rewind to the start ...

In January, we kicked off the year with our annual Food & Drink Operations event. We've been on quite the journey since 2017, within this time FDO has experienced remarkable growth, solidifying its position as a must-attend event for many foodservice professionals.

Over the years we have seen a huge amount of show stock go to waste and this year we were determined for that not to be the case. Post event we visited our local foodbank, Leicester South Foodbank, and donated a huge amount of left over show stock generously donated by our suppliers. Following this successful initiative, we are proud to be supporting FareShare Cymru in 2025.

Plant a tree for every attendee - another new initiative we introduced in March. At Atom we're committed to making a positive impact on our planet which is why we decided to partner with Treeapp. To date we have planted 505 trees. Over their lifetime they will absorb 55.05 tonnes of CO2, they have created 5 workdays for local communities and will reforest 808.00m2 of land.

We look forward to continuing our tree planting journey in 2025.

May marked our 10th Facilities Management event and our first time at the wonderful ICC Wales & Celtic Manor Resort, The Celtic Collection. Over the course of the two days, we facilitated meetings between 72 supplier companies to the FM sector and over 45 buyers. These buyers oversee some of the UK's largest facilities and estates portfolios and are the lead industry professionals within the sector.

Shortly after it was time to introduce our newest event to our FM series - Atom Facilities Management Public Sector & Education. A structured meet the buyer event offering suppliers to the FM sector exclusive access to key buyers within the public sector and buyers a unique platform to discover innovative products and services all in one day. After much anticipation, we are delighted to bring Atom FMPSE to you in 2025!

October soon came around and we hosted our first Fit-out, Construction & Design event at the ICC Wales & Celtic Manor Resort, The Celtic Collection marking a new chapter following the HRD rebrand. We facilitated an impressive amount of meetings over the two days, sparking dynamic discussions on current and future projects and needs.

It was then time to conclude our 2024 event calendar with our final event of the year, Atom Facilities Management at Doncaster Racecourse and Exhibition Centre. Another fantastic couple of days bringing together industry leading buyers and suppliers from across the UK. We couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up our year.

We know the benefits of attending an Atom event but to hear the numerous success stories from this year alone proves how beneficial a well run meet the buyer event can truly be. The success of these events are attributed to the fact that we at Atom have taken the ‘traditional’ format and adapted it creating a more focused, enjoyable and relaxed event.

As we take the time to reflect on this fantastic year, we want to extend a huge thank you to all who have supported us, we are entering 2025 feeling incredible grateful and we cannot wait to share it with you.
