The 3-Step LinkedIn Playbook for More Connections, More Opportunities, More Offers!
The 3-Step LinkedIn Playbook for More Connections, More Opportunities, More Offers!
Whether you’re hunting for your next big role, growing your business, or simply looking to strengthen your professional brand, LinkedIn is your stage. The question is… are you in the spotlight or sitting quietly in the back row?
The truth is, LinkedIn rewards the people who show up and it’s not about spending hours scrolling aimlessly. It’s about being intentional, strategic, and maybe a little bit bold.
I’ve watched this happen again and again with my clients and students. From executives landing multiple offers without applying, to small business owners gaining new customers just from a single comment, LinkedIn is a magnet when you know how to use it.
The best part? You don’t need to be “LinkedIn famous” to see results. You just need the right game plan, and I’ve got 3 proven moves to get you noticed, connected, and in demand.
1 - Comment, Comment, Comment
If you want more eyes on your profile, you can’t just sit back and hope it happens—you’ve got to join the conversation. Every thoughtful comment you post is like a mini billboard for your expertise.
LinkedIn research proves it: people who engage with others’ content get 4x more profile views. Those views can turn into job interviews, potential clients, or valuable collaborations.
Leaving comments on other people’s posts probably wouldn’t be your first guess when wondering how to increase profile views. Would you believe that it not only increases your profile views but leads to more interview invitations, too?
The proof:
Emily, a Sales Operations Manager, received offers from 2 companies without sending a single application—just from joining relevant conversations in her field.
David, a Sr. Technology Director, got his new role after a recruiter spotted his comment on a thought leader’s post and reached out.
Your move: Spend 15 minutes, at least 3 days per week, commenting on posts in your feed. Keep your comments insightful, educational, or thought-provoking. Don’t just agree, add your perspective. That’s what makes you memorable.
Why is Commenting the Ultimate Relationship Builder?
Here’s the real magic of commenting, it’s not just about visibility; it’s about connection. Every time you leave a thoughtful comment, you start (or strengthen) a professional relationship. You’re showing interest in someone else’s work, contributing to the conversation, and demonstrating your expertise without a hard sell.
Comments turn strangers into acquaintances, acquaintances into connections, and connections into collaborators, clients, or employers. In other words, a single well-placed comment today could be the start of your next big opportunity.
I have personally built incredible relationships by commenting that have changed my world and helped me to be a better person.
2 - Create and Share Content to Boost Visibility
Your posts are your voice on LinkedIn and the more often people hear from you, the more they remember you. Posting isn’t just about self-promotion, it’s about staying top of mind, sparking conversations, and creating opportunities.
When you share content:
Recruiters and potential clients see you in action.
Your network gets reminders of your expertise.
You open the door to referrals and collaborations.
Your move: Post 2–3 times per week. Rotate between industry insights, lessons learned, behind-the-scenes stories, and thought-provoking questions. Keep it useful, relevant, and authentic. You don’t have to be perfect, just consistent.
3 - Make New Connections
LinkedIn isn’t just a digital resume; it’s a networking powerhouse. The right connections can open doors you didn’t even know existed. Every profile you view, every post you engage with, every connection you make has the potential to create opportunity.
When you take the time to build those authentic connections, you’re not just adding names to a list — you’re opening doors to conversations, referrals, insider insights, and opportunities that may never be posted on a job board.
Your move:
·Send 3–5 targeted connection requests per week.
Look for shared experiences, same school, mutual connections, common interests.
Always add a short, friendly note.
Example Friendly Note:
Hi Mike,
We both attended Arizona State University, and we’re both in the human resource industry. I’d like to connect so we can support each other and share insights.
The Bottom Line
LinkedIn works when you show up consistently, this is the secret sauce.
Comment with others on a regular basis, make it part of your daily routine.
Create and Share content 2–3 times per week.
Connect with purpose and intention.
Do this, and your visibility will grow, your network will strengthen, and your opportunities will multiply. Remember, LinkedIn is worth the effort; when used strategically, it can dramatically accelerate your job search success.

1moI love this: "You don’t need to be “LinkedIn famous.” You just need a simple game plan." So true. If you think you'll try everything instead of having a strategy to attract interest, you will only be creating noise.
