It's about time the 'broader directives' and the sheer scale of Africa's energy deficit are finally pushing the World Bank to reconsider its outdated stance on nuclear. The 300 million target is ambitious, and relying solely on renewables for baseload power across such a vast continent is unrealistic. The steering committee's support for exploring is a baby step. What Africa needs is a giant leap of financial commitment to nuclear infrastructure, backed by the World Bank's credibility and resources.

In as much as the world bank seems to want to help, I sometimes wonder if their approach must change all together??
