Action Overcomes Fear
Fear is a very basal emotion developed since our caveman days. Fear helped us survive. Fear had and still has some use for us. It also helps us grow once we recognise it. Fear can feel very, very real. But it’s only an emotion that survives and thrives when we dwell on it and start to believe it.
According to research, 99% of the fears are non-physical - It’s just a state of mind! No one is born with fears but they tend to develop in our heads as we get older. Our brains somehow formulated a perception that there is an imminent danger then we shift into ‘fight’ or ‘flight’ mode. Some of the "fears" that I feel and many adults feel are:-
Fear of taking action. Fear of taking a risk. Fear of stepping out of your comfort zone. Fear of putting yourself in a worse position if things don't work out. There's already a lot of fear out there. Don't waste your time fretting about something that is completely within your control.
The first step in mastering your fear of taking massive action is to remember to tell yourself that fear isn’t real--that it’s only a feeling that can’t hurt you. It may help asking yourself:-
I am still trying to master my fears. I am preparing to move out of my comfort zone where the growth happens. I have started talking to people, found mentors and started committing in public. I have started giving myself deadlines for action rather than dwelling/ seeking perfection. I accept that I am a beginner and failure is normal — and it can be a good thing. I am afraid and my fears may never really go away, and that’s okay. If bravery means progressing without fear, courage means doing it despite fear.
Be courageous, and you’ll be surprised what you can accomplish.
Be afraid, but do it anyway - Take Action.

2yFears real and imaginary(often imaginary) keep us shackled to status quo. Your post is a good reminder to reasses those fears periodically and move towards action.
