AEROSPACE Industry Alert: Request for Proposals for Titans Spaceplane Development and Manufacturing Coming Soon

Titans Space Industries Inc. (TSI) will soon publish a Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking space and aerospace industry partners to participate in the development of the Titans Spaceplane, the company’s flagship horizontal takeoff, horizontal landing single-stage-to-orbit vehicle.

The Titans Spaceplane is designed to be the primary workhorse of TSI’s cis-lunar transportation architecture, representing a monumental change in frequency, reliability, and affordability of access to Low Earth Orbit.

Through this RFP, TSI will be inviting proposals from leading aerospace companies, technology developers, and specialist suppliers across key disciplines, including propulsion, advanced materials, avionics, structural design, and thermal protection.

This RFP initiative reflects TSI’s collaborative approach, aimed at integrating the best capabilities from across industry into a unified program that will define the next era of reusable orbital transportation.

As part of its long-term infrastructure roadmap, TSI also confirms that it will publish separate RFPs in the coming months for two additional cornerstone projects: the Titans OrbitalPort Space Station (TOPSS), a multi-use commercial station serving as a hub for orbital and cis-lunar operations, and SuryaHelios, TSI’s space-based solar power initiative designed to deliver scalable, renewable energy from orbit to Earth.

Together, these RFPs represent critical steps in the execution of TSI’s strategic vision to establish a fully integrated cis-lunar transportation and energy ecosystem.

By engaging with world-class partners through these solicitations, TSI seeks to accelerate the transition from concept to operational reality across multiple domains, positioning the company as a driving force in shaping the future of human and industrial activity in space.

Introduction and Project Overview

Titans Space Industries Inc. will be seeking proposals from qualified industry and business partners to collaborate on the design, development, and manufacturing of the Titans Spaceplane, a revolutionary Single-Stage-To-Orbit (SSTO) and Horizontal Takeoff and Horizontal Landing (HTHL) vehicle. Our goal is to design a fully reusable, cost-effective spaceplane that utilizes sustainable fuels and supports space tourism, research, and logistics.

The Titans Spaceplane program is inspired by decades of aerospace vision and engineering, building on the foundations of concepts like the Rockwell Star-Raker and other horizontal takeoff spaceplane initiatives, while leveraging cutting-edge materials, propulsion technologies, and modern systems integration. The RFP represents an invitation to shape a new era of space access—frequent, reliable, and sustainable.

Objectives of the RFP and Scope of Work

The RFP seeks collaboration with industry leaders capable of advancing the Titans Spaceplane from concept to operational vehicle. Proposals should not only demonstrate technical expertise but also show how the partner’s contributions align with:

  • Affordability – driving down launch cost per launch.

  • Safety – achieving commercial human-rating certification.

  • Reusability – enabling hundreds of missions per vehicle.

  • Sustainability – incorporating green propellants and recyclable materials.

  • Scalability – building the foundation for a fleet of spaceplanes.

The scope of work encompasses the entire lifecycle of the spaceplane, from initial design to final production and testing. We are looking for partners who can contribute to one or more of the following key areas:

Design and Development

  • Conceptual and detailed engineering for all spaceplane systems.

  • Structural and aerodynamic analysis.

  • Testing and validation of prototypes.

Manufacturing and Assembly

  • Production of individual components and sub-systems.

  • Integration and final assembly of the spaceplane.

  • Quality control and assurance.

Partners are expected to demonstrate proven technical expertise, a capacity for innovation, and the ability to meet program timelines in alignment with TSI's goals for a 2029 inaugural flight.

More information will be shared soon. Please keep an eye on this newsletter and the Titans Space Industries Inc. company page.
