AI, AR, chatbots and other animals: a year in innovation
I have been privileged over the last 12 months to have had the opportunity to work with many clients, colleagues and partners in my role, leading NTT DATA's innovation activities in the UK alongside the digital consulting business.
For us, innovation is the lifeblood of our business and it is central to the way we seek to support our clients. Whether it is the latest in conversational UI to improve the call-centre service experience in telco-land, machine learning to drive more effective risk evaluations in insurance, the use of augmented reality to simplify field service management for engineers or participating in the Bank of England's FinTech accelerator with regulatory analytics using our big data transformation tooling, we always strive to address concrete client needs with pragmatic innovative solutions, working with them to find the right technologies applied in the right way in the field.
As part of our annual retrospective, we have put together a short video of some of the work that we have completed with clients and partners over the last 12 months from scouting solutions, hackathons and open innovation competitions, to lean prototyping and industrialising innovation that I thought I would share:
