I want to be absolutely clear: I did not support Charlie Kirk or his beliefs. But I believe this—no one deserves to be killed. Hate speech is destructive, but death ends every chance at change. And “gone too soon” means he never got the chance to see another way.

His death is not a win for anyone. It is a tragedy. And it forces us to face a deeper truth: America doesn’t just have a gun problem—we have a heart problem.

This isn’t about left or right, Democrat or Republican. That’s noise, and the noise is deafening. What matters is the temperature of our country—and right now, it’s boiling over. We have to turn it down. We have to get back to love.

The division looks huge, but it’s not. Rivers, lakes, and oceans all find a place to meet. There’s always a crossing—you just have to take the step.

We need to act. We need to end the silence around gun violence. We need to stop treating each other like enemies. Because life is fragile. Life is fleeting. And life—every life—is worth protecting.
