It is all about Passion!

I am not a movie freak. No, movies do not interest me much, neither Bolly nor Hollywood style! However, there have been a few films which have left an impression on my mind and one of it is #MANTHAN. There is something different about it. Firstly, its based on a real story, the story of a revolution called Amul (GCMMF) . Secondly, perhaps it was the first movie to have been produced from finances through crowd funding and that too funds contributed by humble farmers in Gujarat. Thirdly, the cast and the direction. #SmitaPatil, #KulbhushanKharbanda, #NaseeruddinShah, #GirishKarnad, #MohanAgashe, #AmrishPuri and to top of it, direction by #ShyamBenegal. Not to forget the soundtrack, Mero Gaam Katha Parey by #PreetiSagar.

Why I am talking about it here is because I did a screening of this movie a week back for my team at Keva Flavours . Yes, I was a bit skeptical ...will the team sit for this and watch? Will they like it? Am I being foolish in screening it? All of these thoughts came in because majority of our team is from the era of Leone and the Khans. But, I was amazed that each and every member was heavily engrossed through out the movie without an interval in between. I could, in the end, overhear many discussing the learning from what they saw. The passion to succeed, convincing skills, negotiation, handling of dirty politics, dreaming big...I could hear this all being discussed by my colleagues! Isn't all of this required to be a winner even in today's scenario...and, I am happy, I did right by screening it....my compliments to the farmers of Kheda in Gujarat, India, who dreamt big to create the #WhiteRevolution in our country and became an inspiration, and how appropriately Amul is known today, The Taste Of India!
