Announcing Weave and Cleave Movement
As the founder of The Faithful City (TFC), I sincerely appreciate your continued support, interest, and collaboration. Since I started Arizona Trauma Informed Faith Coalition (AZTIFC) at Arizona ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) Consortium, our work and relationships have exponentially grown and deepened locally and (inter)nationally. I am so humbled and grateful for many reasons. Especially, my testimonial trauma healing journey that integrates faith and science and nourishing genuine friendships with amazing people and excellent servant leaders have been the most distinctive markers of the last ten years’ journey.
Today, I am sending this email to thousands of people and organizations woven by the trauma-informed care movement across all people groups, generations, and social sectors. If you receive multiple times of the same email, I do apologize for that. Please forgive me. However, with my refreshed spirit and thankful heart, I do announce the Weave and Cleave Movement as TFC’s social and cultural movement that invites EVERY human being and ALL sectors to come alongside where everyone experiences being connected before corrected, sharing struggles in compassion, and raising hope and resilience for the future journey altogether.
Wherever we meet, we welcome everyone with unconditional love and constant care across boundaries and differences. Acceptance is not approval. However, we don’t condone illegal, violent, or harmful behaviors. But we extend our heart and soul to embrace all people as who they are regardless of what they have done, should, or should not do.
The purpose of TFC and its Weave and Cleave Movement is to raise multicultural and resilient servant leaders, empowering their transformative life journeys to create communities of belonging. As a faith community, we do Weave and Cleave worship and discipleship. Also, for the whole community, we do Weave and Cleave conference and retreat, including the Creating Communities of Belonging Project. If you are interested in the project’s training and follow-up cultural change process, please let me know.
I am writing this to set out a milestone of TFC’s movement, trying to make it brief as many of you are already following my and TFC’s social media posts regarding our activities and events. Today, I want to mention two events as YOU ALL from ALL fields and sectors are cordially invited to these.
