April’s Blend: The Fresh Start of Spring, Gratitude, and a Side of Real Connection
Spring has a way of nudging us forward, gently but intentionally. A season that says: Start fresh. Try again. Begin anyway. Fittingly, today (April 23rd) is National Take A Chance Day, a day that encourages us to break out of our comfort zone. How are you going to do something today to get closer to a goal or to have a new experience? If one of your goals is feeling more connected -- keep reading. I've got you!
There’s a moment each year when the noise fades and clarity hits. For me, that moment arrived mid-sip of a cappuccino, notebook open, reflecting on the power of meaningful connection.
This month, I’m not just talking about connection, I’m creating it. I hope you will join me for one of both of these opportunities:
☕ First, a virtual moment worth showing up for: Chris Schembra is hosting an incredible virtual gratitude experience for our community. This isn’t a webinar. It’s a chance to pause, reflect, connect on a deeper level, and experience an energy you’ll carry with you long after we log off. Read why it matters to me—and why I hope you'll be there.
If that resonates and you can join us, let me know and I will get the invite over to you.
📍Then, we bring it home: live from NYC: We're hosting an in-person event on May 19 in partnership with Tavern Community Coworking . Think community, conversation, and the kind of magic only IRL can deliver. We have people traveling from Texas, Florida, and Virginia so far. That is how powerful human connection is! All the details are right here.
Since we can't pin comments (I so wish that would come back),the link to join us may be hard to find. If you want to join us IRL, here is the link to register: https://lu.ma/a06g4u6u
You don’t have to go it alone. Whether you're building your brand, navigating a new chapter, or just craving a room full of people who get it, I hope to see you at one or both of these events!

Mariana Saddakni accelerates businesses with AI transformation and integration. She specializes in helping organizations evolve quickly through the implementation of Artificial Intelligence. Bring her on board to step in when complexity is high, time is short, and success simply can't be optional. Loren (Executive Career Strategist) Greiff is a career coach and strategist, helping C-Suite leaders 40+ to land faster and earn more. She calls herself the "loud mouth age advocate" (more on why that is so powerful in my tip of the month down below) and that's why we love her - her spicy takes on ageism and job search are a must read. Her podcast, Career Blast In A Half, is one of my favorites and a must listen!
Mai Moore 🌎 is a visionary leader on a mission: to bridge worlds, inspire change, and awaken awareness. What is awakening awareness? The power of seeing the world, culture, and our own roles in shaping change with clarity and intention. Her approach is rooted in the belief that most barriers to progress— whether personal, societal, or systemic—stem from a lack of understanding and connection. She challenges individuals and organizations to ask deeper questions, bringing fresh perspectives to long-standing challenges..
Kofi Douhadji is a renowned author, publisher, and motivational speaker with a truly transformative voice in personal development and independent publishing. As the founder of Flying Wings, Kofi empowers independent authors, turning stories of resilience and optimism into published works that inspire and ignite action. His debut memoir, Unbroken Optimist, remains one of my favorite books that I recommend often. He is also a dynamic public speaker on topics such as leadership, resilience, and the transformative power of storytelling.
And now, it's time for my LinkedIn Tip of the Month. It may seem like a simple one, but it is powerful. Update your headline. Not your job title, your headline. It’s the most visible line on your profile and it travels with every comment you make. Make it count. Make your headline memorable, and a little bit personal. Your LinkedIn headline isn’t just your job title. It’s your tagline, and your chance to tell someone who you are, not just what you do.
Yes, you want to be clear about your expertise. But when you add a small touch of personality or perspective, you stand out in a sea of sameness.
Take mine: The Good Witch of LinkedIn. It’s not my job title, but it reflects how I work: intuitive, strategic, sharing positive energy, and yes, a little magical. It has started many a conversation and makes people remember me. Want to see a few more that I love?

Even if you're in a job search, a line like “CMO | Growth Strategist | Champion of Customer-Centric | Messaging Building Brands People Remember & Trust” says far more than a generic headline like “Seasoned Marketing Executive.” It signals value. Voice. Intent. And, it makes you memorable. Also, my personal take, save the seasoning for your food, not your experience.
And with that, this month's edition of The Caffeinated Chronicles draws to a close. Thank you as always for spending some time with me! I’ll leave you with this: your headline, your presence, your story... it all matters more than you think.
We don’t build meaningful visibility by accident. We build it by showing up with clarity, connection, and a little bit of courage.
Hope to see you soon: virtually, in NYC, or (ideally) somewhere caffeinated.
