Astana Hub Residents Offer Digital Solutions to Support Women's Safety, Health, and Well-being

Residents of Astana Hub are developing innovative digital solutions aimed at enhancing women's safety, supporting their physical and mental health, self-care, and assisting in child education and upbringing. These startups help ease daily challenges, making life more comfortable and secure for women.

One such project is AMAN Online — a mobile app designed to protect women in emergencies such as domestic violence, attacks, or robberies. With just a press of the SOS button, the app instantly connects users with licensed security agencies, enabling real-time audio and video streaming for incident documentation. This service helps prevent crimes and ensures a rapid response to safety threats.

Caring for women's health and well-being is another key area where Kazakhstani startups provide effective solutions. Supermoms Club is a digital assistant for pregnant women and young mothers, offering personalized advice, online doctor consultations, psychological support, and pregnancy-tracking tools. More than 170,000 users have already benefited from this service, contributing to healthier generations and reducing infant mortality rates.

Women face daily challenges—balancing professional responsibilities and family duties, often leading to stress and emotional burnout. Access to qualified support is crucial during these moments. The Sezim platform provides convenient access to psychological support, offering online consultations, expert matching, and crisis assistance. Its flexible format allows women to take care of their mental health in a comfortable setting.

Managing time effectively is essential for women juggling multiple roles in work, family, and personal life. Naimi.kz simplifies everyday tasks by connecting users with verified professionals, from cleaners and handymen to babysitters and tutors. Its user-friendly search, review system, and online payment options help women find reliable professionals quickly, freeing up more time for themselves and their families.

Self-care and beauty services have also become more accessible through digital platforms. Zapis is an online booking service that helps women schedule appointments at beauty salons and medical centers, selecting top-rated specialists based on reviews. The platform connects over 1,000 salons and 3,500 professionals across 27 cities in Kazakhstan, ensuring high-quality services with ease.

Kazakhstani startups are also committed to supporting women raising children with special needs. Autism Spectrum assists parents in early diagnosis and adaptation of children with autism spectrum disorders, providing valuable tools and recommendations. Ozim Platform, recognized as a Digital Public Good by the United Nations, offers digital solutions to help mothers understand their children's development and find effective learning and socialization methods.

To promote physical activity, local startups provide accessible and convenient solutions. 1Fit offers a unified membership, allowing women to visit gyms and studios without being tied to a single fitness club, providing flexibility in workout choices. Hero’s Journey turns exercise into an engaging game-like adventure, keeping users motivated. Both services help women stay fit, take care of their health, and easily incorporate physical activity into their routines.

These projects demonstrate how technology can enhance women's safety, comfort, and well-being. Moreover, Kazakhstan is witnessing a growing number of women-led IT companies, proving that women are not only embracing the tech industry but also emerging as leaders in building successful innovative businesses.
