Announcements Summary

• Custom maintenance windows for all gateways (00:56) - P2S VPN GW with Virtual WAN now supports custom maintenance windows meaning all GWs now have this ability.

• AVNM in Gov cloud (01:33) - Azure Virtual Network Manager with its centralized, at-scale management of vnet connectivity, traffic flows, IP assignment and more is now available in the Gov cloud.

• Storage SAS token expiry policy actions (02:10) - You can now configure to log or block if a SAS is generated with a token expiry beyond that set on the storage account policy.

• Prem SSD v2 and Ultra NVMe live resize (03:41) - Premium SSD v2 and Ultra disks using the NVMe controller can now be expanded while connected.

• Power BI to PostgreSQL Entra ID auth (04:17) - Power BI desktop connections to PostgreSQL can use Entra integrated authentication.

• Azure Arc powered SQL migration (04:44) - Migrating SQL to SQL MI is simpler thanks to Azure Arc powered capability.

• Azure SQL new string functions (05:12) - Two new string functions help include unicode characters and concatinate multiple strings.

• PostgreSQL cascading read replicas (06:03) - You can create replicas from replicas in a 2-tier hierarchy.

• MySQL accelerated logs (07:17) - Accelerated logs giving lower transaction latency and higher throughput available in the general purpose tier.

• MySQL configurable backup interval (07:55) - You can now set an interval of 6, 12 and 24 hours for the backups.

• Azure Confidential Ledger new tagging (08:56) - 5 tags can be configured per transaction to add discovery and use.

• MS auth new backgrounds (09:26) - A new background is rolling out for Entra ID and consumer authentications including a dark mode!

• Azure Dedicated HSM retirement (09:53) - Move to another offering such as the Azure Cloud HSM.
