Beyond the Passport #2

The Digital Product Passport Ecosystem Keeps Evolving

Over the past month, the momentum around Digital Product Passports (DPPs) has continued to grow — driven by new regulations, deeper cross-sector conversations, and the emergence of technologies linked to Web3.0. At MyLime, we are committed to staying ahead of these changes and actively contributing to the future of digital transparency and sustainability.

What’s New?

Participation in Key Industry Events

We recently took part in two of the most important international events in their respective sectors: Cosmoprof Worldwide in Bologna, the leading trade fair for the beauty industry, and Salone del Mobile in Milan, a global reference point for the world of furniture and interior design. These events offered an incredible opportunity to connect with innovators, brands, and manufacturers, and to explore how DPPs can bring added value to both cosmetics and furniture — two industries increasingly focused on sustainability, transparency, and circularity.

Sector Focus: Cosmetics & Furniture

In the cosmetics industry, DPPs are becoming essential tools for tracking ingredient origin, verifying product authenticity, and communicating environmental impact to increasingly conscious consumers. In furniture and design, the DPP enables traceability of materials, enhances product longevity, and supports compliance with upcoming circular economy regulations. In both sectors, digital product data is evolving into a strategic asset — not just for compliance, but for competitive differentiation.

Regulatory Focus: The Road Ahead

As Regulation (EU) 2024/1781 on Ecodesign for Sustainable Products (ESPR) moves forward, businesses must prepare to meet new expectations around transparency and sustainability. With the first product-specific DPP mandates set to roll out by 2027, companies should act now to:

  • Implement systems for reliable lifecycle data collection

  • Adapt internal processes to support eco-design principles

  • Leverage technology to turn compliance into innovation

Our Commitment

At MyLime, we’re at the forefront of this evolution. Our solutions are designed to meet the challenges of today and the regulations of tomorrow — bringing the full potential of DPPs and Web3.0 to life across industries.

Let’s build a smarter, more transparent future — one product at a time.
