Building Connections, Not Just Credits!
Welcome to the Overachiever’s Excuse! Before I talk about why I’m starting this newsletter, I want to talk about who I’m starting it for - This is for every college student who has been told that grades are everything, it’s for those who feel lost in the sea of assignments and exams, wondering what actually matters in the long run. If you want to make the most out of college, this is for you!
The idea behind starting this newsletter, it’s because being a scholar in college is not even half as important as we think it is. While lectures and degree matters, what truly shapes your future isn’t just your GPA. It’s the people you meet, the networks you build, and the experiences you create.
In your college life, you are going to come across so many different people but knowing what role that person is going to play in college life, identifying difference between friends and connections because connections can open doors no textbooks can! Friends are important, but connections can turn into mentors, co-founders, investors and lifelong collaborators.
Looking into my own college life, I remember the sheer excitement of organizing events, meeting new people, and diving into experiences beyond the classroom. Somewhere in that chaos, I crossed paths with Sarang Thakre. What started as casual teamwork turned into something much bigger—we went from planning college fests together to building a vision that outlasted graduation.
From sleepless nights pulling off last-minute event fixes to brainstorming ideas that felt way ahead of our time, we built a bond that wasn’t just about friendship—it was about ambition, trust, and the kind of partnership that makes things happen.
Fast forward to today, and we’re not just business partners; we’re lifelong friends. I run the agency as the Director/CEO, and Sarang is the COO, making things happen alongside me. That’s the power of connections—college isn’t just about assignments and exams; it’s about finding the right people who push you, challenge you, and grow with you.
Through this newsletter, I’ll guide you on how to not just build meaningful connections but also make the most out of college individually. Whether it’s navigating opportunities, stepping up for things that scare you, or simply knowing what actually matters in the long run—I’ve got you.
This is your time. Make it count.
