C'est la Vie (This is life)
I recently came across a beautiful little book by Suzanne Maher with wonderful photography of a journey through France by Michel Fraile.
Michel has an eye for inspiring photography and Suzanne has collated some familiar and not so familiar affirmations by French writers.
Here's a couple that resonated:
"The most glorious moments in your life are not the so-called days of success, but rather those days when out of dejection and despair you feel rise in you a challenge to life, and the promise of future accomplishments." - Gustave Flaubert
"The voyage of discovery is not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." - Marcel Proust

9yThanks for sharing, Philip. The book sounds great and I love the quote from Proust. How true also in respect to education - learning is about seeing the 'other' from new perspectives which leads to knowledge, new discovery.
