A Professor's Soul Curry Chapter One - "One Fine Day"

The cell phone rings one lovely morning in the frantic and very busy life of a professor trying to get to campus on time. The professor answers the phone in a hurried manner.

Student: Professor. Hello and good morning. How are you doing?

Professor: Hello, and good morning. Could you please tell me who this is?

Student: My name is ABC, and I am from the XY batch. I had something I wanted to express to you.

Professor: (ecstatically) OH hello!!! ABC How are things going for you? It's fantastic to hear from you so early in the morning after all these years. How have you been these many years? What are you doing these days? Tell me what you'd want to contribute. I'm interested to find out.

Student: I wanted to express my gratitude for your lessons. When we work on the things you taught us, it means a lot. Apart from your classroom teachings, thank you for all the life lessons you shared with us in class. Thank you for believing in us when we didn't believe in ourselves. Thank you for helping us become better people. In my office, I rose to a very high level. Last week, I was promoted.

Professor: (In a cheerful tone) Oh, my child. That's fantastic. Congratulations on your advancement. It is a privilege for a professor to witness your success in life and at work. It's wonderful to hear from you again after such a long period. You've brightened my day. I wish you all the happiness in the world, as well as tones of love and blessings. Continue to share your success with your professors. Your satisfaction brings us joy. You keep us alive in your memory and through our teachings even after we die.

Student: Thank you Professor. I will see you soon in alumni meet.

Professor: Have a good day.

And with a smile on his face, a professor left for college.
