CHINT Green Hydrogen, the New Quality Productive Force of a more sustainable future

On March 26, the 2024 Clean Energy Expo of China (CEEC) inaugurated in Beijing. The CHINT Green Energy family brought all its latest products and solutions to the expo, including the flagship Astro N7 solar panel, the 320kW string inverter, and the 5MWh water-cooling energy storage system. What's worth highlighting is the debut of CHINT Hydrogen.

Hydrogen, featuring its much higher energy density compared to the conventional BESS, is widely accepted as the next generation energy storage solution. On the other side, its diversified application, especially the coupling with the renewable energy such as photovoltaic and wind makes it the best option to tackle the grid curtailment, which biggest problem faced by the renewable energy at current stage.

CHINT, as the pioneer in exploring the possibility of energy, has come up with the latest hydrogen production equipment for the expo. By coupling with renewable energy such as PV or wind power, CHINT's green power hydrogen production equipment can efficiently convert green electricity into green hydrogen, support the realization of multi-scenario applications such as green chemical, green metallurgy, green transportation, and green fuel synthesis. We have been proactively carrying out real scenario implementation verifications in different regions of China, and exploring off-grid hydrogen production to ensure that all green electricity comes from green sources. By optimizing the design, reducing the loss of multiple DC-AC conversions and on-site transformers, improving the efficiency of power conversion, and providing energy solutions for areas lacking infrastructures, such as offshore energy platforms, remote areas, and islands.

In the morning of March 27, a special ceremony was held at CHINT's booth. Representatives from DEKRA, the world’s largest independent non-listed expert organization in the testing, inspection, and certification sector, awarded CHINT Hydrogen with the Certificate on the Hydrogen Top Runner Program Action Evaluation. This certificate is to prove that the Alkaline Water Electrolysis equipment produced by CHINT Hydrogen has reached a high efficiency criterion of DC power consumption, which is 4.278kWh/Nm3, and the test results were witnessed by DEKRA throughout the process.
