A comprehensive look at the EnVision Summit 2025

Evolution of the EnVision Summit
To start things off, EnVision program director and founder Bonnie Henderson gave insight into the evolution of the conference and how it brings optometrists and ophthalmologists together to learn, discuss shared problems, and facilitate co-management in a family-friendly environment.
Optometrists take the stage
Jessica Steen OD, FAAO, Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, discussed the importance of co-managing glaucoma patients throughout their lifetime, emphasizing the selection of therapeutics based on mechanism of action, efficacy, and tolerability, and the strategic use of interventional therapies and surgical decision-making. Steen highlighted the necessity of collaboration between optometrists and ophthalmologists for effective patient care. She also expressed excitement about new therapeutics in clinical trials, including those for neurodegeneration and neuroprotection, which extend beyond intraocular pressure (IOP) reduction. - Watch
Ashley Tucker, OD, FAAO, FSLS, ABO Diplomate gave insight into advancements in keratoconus management and the importance of early detection, as well as tips and advice on fitting scleral contact lenses. - Watch
