AI-Driven Innovation: Smarter, Quicker, and Consumer-First
Mattel’s adoption of AI is a clear sign that the industry is moving toward faster, smarter, and more personalized innovation. Whether it’s streamlining supply chains, predicting demand, creating new products, or connecting with consumers in more meaningful ways, AI is helping brands work more efficiently and respond more quickly. Mattel’s partnership with OpenAI is a great example of how brands can reinvent themselves by embedding intelligence into their operations and experiences, staying relevant in the market while figuring out new avenues for growth.

AI Across the CPG Value Chain
By now, everyone understands that AI is important, but the real value lies in how it's integrated across the entire CPG value chain. Leaders are realizing the value of smart integration at every stage, from trend forecasting and product development to supply chain optimization and personalized marketing. While 71% of CPG leaders reported adopting AI in at least one area last year, and 56% are already using generative AI regularly, the next big shift is in fully connecting these capabilities. This end-to-end integration is what will separate the early adopters from the true AI-driven leaders, leading to faster innovation and smarter decision-making.

In a recent interview with Supply Chain Digital, Sunder Balakrishnan, Director of Supply Chain Analytics at LatentView Analytics, discussed how supply chain management is facing increasing disruptions. He emphasized that the current ecosystem demands a shift from traditional, reactive approaches to more proactive, data-driven strategies.
He highlighted that AI can enhance decision-making by providing real-time insights and predictive analytics, allowing companies to anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions. However, he also cautioned that the adoption of AI should be approached thoughtfully, ensuring that it complements human expertise rather than replacing it.

Podcasts
Organizations that scale AI beyond pilots have two things in common: A robust data foundation and C-suite backing.
In the latest episode of ‘The Backstory on Marketing and AI’ podcast, Boobesh Ramadurai, Vice President - GenAI capability development and Marketing analytics CoE at LatentView Analytics, and podcast host Guy R. Powell, explore how AI is reshaping marketing strategies. Boobesh shares key insights on how Fortune 500 companies are transitioning from pilot projects to full-scale AI deployments, along with real-world GenAI use cases across various industries.
In the latest episode of ‘The Sourcing Hero’ podcast, Sunder Balakrishnan, Director of Supply Chain Analytics at LatentView Analytics, joins host Kelly Barner to explore a practical, data-driven approach to supply chain resilience. They discuss the level of visibility many companies have into their multi-tier supply chains at the start of their resilience journey, and why the real focus should be on accelerating recovery. The discussion also focuses on how organizations can leverage analytics to identify hidden risks, reduce recovery times, and equip procurement and supply chain teams with the insights they need to make faster, more informed decisions.
When it comes to implementing AI in a regulated environment like banks, it isn’t just about models and algorithms but more about governance, data integrity, risk alignment, and, often, the toughest part: Change management.
In the latest episode of Financial Forward, Parijat Banerjee, Business Head – Financial Services at LatentView Analytics, and podcast host Jim McCarthy, explore where AI adoption in banking is headed, what’s holding it back, the common blind spots in becoming data-driven, and why strong collaboration across teams is essential. They also discuss how change management, data literacy, and cultural shifts enhance execution, as well as a healthcare insurance ecosystem AI success story that highlights real impact.
In the latest episode of the ‘Out of the Box’ podcast, Sunder Balakrishnan, Director, Supply Chain Analytics, LatentView Analytics, and podcast host Margherita Carrozzo discuss the evolving role of data analytics in supply chain operations. Inventory remains one of the most challenging data sets to manage, particularly on the retail floor and in managing backorders. They also emphasize how, as retailers continue to adopt new tools, the ability to integrate with ERPs and core systems seamlessly is becoming more critical than standalone solutions with flashy features. In 2025, system interoperability isn’t optional and it’s essential.
