That corporate job...
So, we all know that a job helps us live our life and pay for our basic needs which unfortunately are one too many in the world which we live in today. We have moved from food, shelter and clothing to internet, cell phone, refrigerator, gas connections, vehicles and god knows what else - depends on the lifestyle we lead.
Corporate jobs help us fulfill this lifestyle but at what cost. How many understand the price we pay to live a life that only generates stress. Let's understand the process of stress - it releases a chemical named cortisol in the brain which if not utilised is poisonous. This poison can further cause many psychosomatic disorders and in extreme cases cancer. I'm no doctor but write this from the information I have gathered online.
So, do we really understand the price we pay to fulfil a lifestyle which may in the end bring us closer to our end? We drive a car and work long hours only to pay the EMI, we buy an expensive house and always live in the fear of "what if I lost my job?", we eat at expensive restaurants only to pay our credit card bills and are always unhappy and complaining of how unfair life is.
