Here's How We Created Our VSL Funnel (Step-by-Step):

First, we clearly defined the goal of the funnel.
We asked ourselves:
“What transformation are we offering to the lead?”
This helped us build the entire funnel with clarity.
2. Competitor Analysis
We studied our top competitors to understand what kind of VSL funnels they were using, and what their structure looked like.
This gave us inspiration and direction.
3. Content Planning
Next, we planned what kind of content we needed for:
The landing page
The thank-you page
And the video script
4. Headline Selection
We brainstormed and finalized a compelling, benefit-driven headline for our landing page.
It had to speak directly to our target audience’s pain points and desires.
5. Landing Page Design
With the content ready, we designed the landing page using simple, free tools—nothing complicated or expensive.
6. Opt-in Form Integration
We integrated a basic opt-in form to collect leads and build our email list right from the landing page.
7. Workshop Planning
Since the VSL is a video-based funnel, we treated our VSL as a mini-workshop.
We carefully planned what the video would include and how it would deliver real value in a short time.
8. Workshop Creation
We recorded the video (initial cut was 29 minutes), edited it down to a crisp and focused 22-minute VSL, and made sure the message was clear and impactful.
9. Thank You Page Setup
We uploaded the video on the thank-you page and added a strong CTA—inviting leads to book a call with us directly after watching.
10. Call Booking Integration
We integrated a simple call booking system and added pre-qualifying questions to filter the right prospects.
11. Email Automation Setup
Once a lead opted in, we set up automated welcome emails using free tools to nurture the leads even if they didn’t book a call right away.
12. 10-Email Nurture Sequence
We also set up a 10-email nurture sequence spread over 2–3 weeks to build trust and convert leads who needed more time before booking a call.
The Result?
