Besides being beautiful, Lavender’s soothing scent relaxes the mind and muscles, and helps acne and wounds heal.

For Calming:

Lavender works by supporting the autonomic nervous system, which is your internal anti-stress system. Not only does this help with improving sleep patterns, but it also provides relief from migraines, nervous tension and emotional stressors.

You can put Lavender oil in a diffuser, or make a Lavender spray by putting a few drops of lavender essential oil and water in a spray bottle. Keep it with you, on your desk, or next to your bed and spray on your pillow at bedtime to promote a good night’s sleep.

Alternatively, you can add a few drops of essential oil to your lotion and massage in to tight muscles, or put Lavender oil on your finger tips and massage your temples.

For Skin:

·        Lavender is antibacterial, so it can be used topically as an excellent alternative to antibiotic ointment.

·        Lavender slows the overproduction of sebum and can help prevent acne scarring.

·        Lavender can speed up the process of wound healing for cuts and sunburns too.

Simply apply a small amount (a couple drops) of Lavender oil to the affected area. With essential oils, less is more.
