Day 268 of 365: Getting Started with AWS 🚀📚✏️🚀
Hey, Team!
Welcome to Day 268 of our #365DaysOfDataScience journey! 🎉
Today we’re diving into Amazon Web Services (AWS), one of the most popular cloud platforms out there. We’ll explore some essential AWS services and set up our own accounts so we can start navigating the AWS ecosystem. Let’s get into it!
🔑 What We’ll Be Doing Today:
1. Introduction to AWS Services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda
- First, we’ll take a look at some core AWS services:
- EC2 for scalable computing power
- S3 for object storage
- RDS for relational databases
- Lambda for serverless computing
- 💡 These services form the backbone of many cloud applications, and we’ll learn how each one fits into the AWS ecosystem.
2. Setting Up an AWS Account and Basic Navigation
- Next, we’ll create our AWS accounts (if you don’t have one yet) and explore the AWS Management Console. Navigating through the services is key to getting comfortable with AWS.
- 💡 It’s normal to feel a bit overwhelmed with all the options, but we’ll take it slow and get familiar together!
📚 Learning Resources:
- Read: AWS Documentation (Getting Started)
📖 Let’s go through the AWS official Getting Started guide to help us understand the basics of the platform.
- Tutorial: AWS Basics (EC2 and S3)
💻 We’ll follow a simple tutorial that focuses on launching an EC2 instance and using S3 for storage. Don’t hesitate to share your experiences, tips, or issues during the process!
📚 Learning Together✏️:
That’s our plan for today. AWS has so much to offer, and today’s session is all about getting comfortable with the platform. Let’s help each other out as we explore the cloud together! ☁️🚀
Happy Learning & See You Soon!
