Defunct Company Logos: Gone But Not Forgotten?

Some are instantly recognizable while others verge on being lost to history. The list is neither exhaustive or scientific, it is highly subjective like so much of branding. If you have some cool ones to add, please share.

This was the logo of my small publishing company. Flatwoods Press didn't make me rich, but I was able to help preserve a bit of industrial history with the publication of 2 books! The titles are Roanoke's Other Star (2017) and Taking the Heat - A Steelworker's Story (2012). Flatwoods Press, LLC ceased to exist on December 31, 2018.

Great topic Jeff -- I'll think of some more! and yes, great branding can actually accelerate a (poor) company's demise. Also, we both can attest of how many times we had to push back on a client who wanted a positioning beyond their reasonable means. #branding #brandpositioning #brand
