Digital Manufacturing Update!

Precision Tool Technologies has embarked on a bold and new business strategy!  By building upon our past strengths of excellence we gain new skills in new manufacturing competency for Contract Manufacturing for High Precision machining customers and new Injection Molding projects, also Improving our existing Optical Sales and Expanding our Optical Customer Base to include Precision Optics Customer's. Our new course requires us to add value with new and challenging manufacturing requirements. This requires utilizing our best people to rise above the problems of new technologies, geometries and tight tolerances. By learning from these issues and solving them we gain confidence in finding new ways to resolve future manufacturing issues. In this past year we have experienced that in order to be successful with future high technology manufacturing projects, our methods and processes must evolve to handle new unique manufacturing technology, quality and service needs. Tomorrow's manufacturing issues requires our leadership to learn these new technologies at a rapid pace. The key is to rely on best manufacturing principles and practices and if new technology dictates changes to these principles, we won't be afraid to make improvements once we have proven the new course of action. Likewise, if we realize that tried and true principles work with these new technologies, we will recommit to them and etch them in stone! While the problems and spending money always seem to come first with new technologies, it is through this tempering process the system that evolves can stand the test of time which will yield the significant fruits of the future. Our organization gets stronger each and everyday, I am very proud of my people and our leadership for making improvements daily so that we can be successful as we continue to add value to our customer's and be profitable for tomorrow's manufacturing needs! I am pleased to announce to you that we are on course! Here is a snapshot of accomplishments in the past couple of years: added eight employees, average age of assets has dropped 20 years, we have added High Precision 5-axis machining (3 machines), we are certifying for ISO 2015 in first quarter of 2018, we have formalized our Quality Assurance department, we are extremely excited to have six new manufacturing customers, and we will be launching 2 new product lines in the next 6 months, and I am Honored to be asked to join the Optical Laboratories Hall Of Fame! It's been quite a year!
