When we are not able to understand the importance of inspiring people by making them feel belonged, we are preparing ourselves for an unseen and unwanted danger. As people would always see any environment as per human mindset traits considering themselves as the epicentre of everything and situation. The biggest mistake that many successful leaders tend to make and the realisation happening at times is too late to undo the already done.

Mostly such mistakes are made by leaders who are aggressive to achieve or super-achieve since they consider that they are best performing their role as leaders only if numbers are met. I am talking this with real life scenarios seen many a times from a 3rd person view as well as at times being in both positions as well, thought should be one thing where I have already seen outcome, let some person who is still fighting the pressure of justifying be helped.

Most of the time it is seen an individual who has performed great in his past role when is given responsibility of leading, the pressure of mainataining image of being nailing targets starts horrifying because this has been a decider now from here as well it should be one thing constant. This does not mean a wrong person has taken the position or the person's intent are wrong, no it is about missing the most important piece, first thing as a leader is the responsibility of people following you, if each one is to get you what you want from them, each one shall share the same thought and vision, they should feel belonging to the space or environment performing the tasks assigned with a blanket of trust you create by involving or informing them about each movement with proper flow of things that follows, as for better results the patience of process getting executed as per the time needed or as per the planned and calculated breakdowns is the most important aspect.

Like in any athletic event process is not the race but right from warming up to cooling down and ensuring that we stretch well before even coming to a relax stage, the coach ensures it is rightly being done, similarly, leader with a mindset of winning or achieving forgets to wear the hat of being a coach and guide first, this pushes the urge of taking some disruptive steps to either fasten the efforts or shaking the status quo. We gauging success or failure rate of this approach is out of question, because does not matter if victory is achieved once or every time, parallel result is an invisible damage, now since the leader knows the success mantra for achieving shorter goals but the same followers who were under the blanket of trust have started feeling the chilled breeze of being not that important or misguided as no body to show the right track to stick to, since forgotten or panicked, how to react as they are not aware what process was to be followed, nobody discussed or told, but celebration of achievement is on the highest note with leader ensuring and preaching the message of pride for maintaining same trend, whereas each follower is shaken from within, this one dent that has hit the most connected team with one mistake or thought, desire or wish, can make numbers look good for a very small span, but once the people in dark have decided to move out in search of light the same celebration lights start getting dim, an individual started as leader is back to being individual.

Next time whenever you decide to bring sudden big changes in your capacity as a leader, so as a part of execution, the very first step should be to explain your vision to each one with the outcomes, process flow, risk factor, this shall be repeated and repeated till each person is sure about the why, when, where and what of it.

Leadership is a responsibility first anything else afterwards, so today's worse with best people around will definitely become a better tomorrow, the sentence itself has best describing one aspect, so always be responsible for your best first as a leader .
