Do you know if your staff is safe, wherever they are?
In these uncertain pandemic-induced times that the entire world is experiencing, Emergency Management Services, Police Services and Health Care are taking centre stage everywhere. Now, more than ever, it is critical to know where your most valuable assets, your people are located.
People often perceive location tracking as something negative, even as an invasion of privacy. People do not like to be tracked, because they value their privacy and see such tracking as an infringement of their right to privacy. While most organisations recognise the employees’ right to privacy, location tracking in the emergency and law enforcement worlds is becoming a critical value-add. It enables the organisation to ensure the safety of its people. After all, the nature of their jobs calls for often being in difficult and high-risk situations and places.
When your organisation knows that your staff works in high-risk areas, do you know which of your people may be at risk because they have been in the vicinity?
DataVoice can help! DataVoice introduced location tracking as an add-on to our voice and short data service recording solution for TETRA radio systems. Our solution keeps rich historical location information with all other communication records to keep track of who was where and what communications took place at these locations. By combining location, voice and text communications, an organisation can form a holistic picture of all events in context and make informed and critical decisions. This benefits the organisation in keeping its people and operations safe.
The DataVoice solution provides easy to use and intuitive information on the selected radio users. The operator can quickly and easily search, identify and correlate location information with communication information captured for radios. Communications and status changes of selected users are colour-coded in the search window; icons with the same colours visualise these users on the map interface. The operator can listen to conversations while observing the movement and location information at the same time.
Robust reports provide rich location information stored in the system; for example, the location visit report shows a list of the users that were in a defined area and period. Location heat maps, movement profiles and time profiles are additional examples of standard reports.
Given the COVID-19 crisis, DataVoice makes it easy to track your staff and ensure their wellbeing, by facilitating rapid response and easy tracking of people in scenarios where high-risk areas are visited.
A leading Metropolitan Municipality successfully uses our solution to ensure high levels of service delivery and minimisation of risk.
Why don’t you give us a call to discuss how we can make that work for you too?
