The i4KIDS Pediatric Innovation network, financed by AGAUR and with FEDER funds (File number 2018 XARDI 00011), launches the contest corresponding to the Pediatric Innovation Program by calling on all those teams that have a creative project focused on pediatric or maternal innovation. Registration will be available, starting July 12, on the project website (innovation4kids.org).

The contest aims to give a boost to those pediatric / maternal projects with the greatest potential and help turn an idea, prototype or design into a real project with the possibility of bringing it to the market.

Project registration will be open from July 12 to Septembre 10, 2021. Once the registration process is finished, six projects will be selected and they will access the Biocat Pitch Training Program and, subsequently, they will present their proposal to a panel of experts in the framework of the Pediatric Innovation Day that will take place on October 21, 2021, in Barcelona.

The three projects selected by the jury will be awarded with an economical prize from 7.500 € to 15.000 €, and they will have the possibility of receiving advice from the KIDS BARCELONA group, a group made up of young experts in the analysis of needs and solutions from the end user's point of view.

The i4KIDS network, coordinated by Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Children´s Hospital, is a strategic commitment that groups together different research groups whose main objective is to encourage and promote pediatric and maternal innovation. The focus of the project is to be able to develop and test innovative designs that aim to respond to real clinical problems designed by and with children and mothers.
