Don't miss out on London!

Don't miss out on London!

In this period of uncertainty don’t give up on London! We’ve been through far, far worse and come out better for it every time. Anyone with more than a goldfish memory will recall other periods of uncertainty. My father in law even recalls working by candlelight in the 1970's.

Despite Brexit, English football, Old Etonian politicians, Rating agency downgrades and terrible weather. The UK and in particular London remains a great place to live and work. All of these issues will come and go, London will continue. The fundamentals are still in London's favour and it would be a mistake if you personally (as an individual or company) assumed that the London story is over. In my view it is only just beginning.

If you like football analogies think of the UK like a top striker who wants to play in a better team. There will be some negotiating, some people will be paid well for the move, there will be a lot of noise in the press; will he move? Where will he go? How much will he get? There will be uncertainty and then the striker will land, richer and feeling rejuvenated by the change. Some of his old team will even try to move clubs with him.

Politicians have made colossal mistakes before and the English football team rarely win anyway. Whether you chose it or not lets not dwell on it. Brexit or not, trade will continue between the UK and Europe and so will migration as it always has done. Above all London will continue to prosper so our personal choice is whether to be part of the rejuvenation and prosper or not!

Very true. We'll all need to dig a little deeper.
