The Dore Podcast: mastering human connections.

The Dore Podcast: mastering human connections.

Mid-pandemic, I received an invitation-to-connect on one of my social networks. As is my standard practice, I checked out the person's profile and discovered he was a local entrepreneur.

I suggested a virtual chat and we had a great conversation. Dan Dore is a quality professional working in the property development/rental industry. He is destined for great things.

Our relationship grew over the next few months through enjoyable breakfast conversations, email exchanges and quick phone chats.

I shared networking tips to use with his contacts, invited him to Chamber of Commerce events, connected him with potential partners and recommended networks he could explore.

My motives weren't selfish. I genuinely liked him and wanted to help.

During a recent breakfast, he shared that he had started a podcast series and felt my content could be of value to his audience. A couple of weeks ago, we recorded a podcast interview that I think has some great content.

This week's tip: "Every person you meet has the potential to help you to the extent they are willing and able. Your mission is to stimulate their willingness as you discover their ability, relative to your situation." Michael J. Hughes
