Dreams Can Come True....

Dreams Can Come True....

Life is busy and we all need to take note of where we are and where we are going. I am at a point in life where I am thinking about my next chapter and writing has become something I have wanted to do for so long. In the past two years I have really learned a lot about self publishing and also writing music. I have taken the time and initiative to learn as much as I can. I am so excited to have two children books on line for sale (Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Walmart) as well that three coloring books. I also wrote three songs (Cherise Arthur/YouTube) and was able to get them produced and had music videos made. I never would have thought I could write a song and have it produced but I gave it a shot and made it happen.

As school starts in just a few weeks, it makes me think of how to encourage your children to want to learn. I spoke to a lady today who told me her grandchildren are being raised not to be bored. They are only allowed a small amount of time each week to watch TV and are encourage to have hobbies and be involved in activities and sports. I thought wow it would be nice if more parents encouraged this in their children. Students have really struggled with isolation with COVID and hopefully this year will be better. I have been reading and writing more and doing as much as I can to work on a my screenplay. Yes, I challenged myself and am now working on editing my script that is based on my second children's book. I feel more motivated now then I did in high school and college and I am getting close to retirement age. Learning how to find an agent has been fun and that is my next big project. Walt Disney said if you can dream it, you can make it happen! His inspiration was a small mouse on the farm that he lived on as a child. His family was poor and he worked very hard for his dreams.

So follow your heart and dreams and believe in yourself. I have always believed that if you believe you can do it!

Life lesson for me is love to learn and keep your kids interested in learning through life. Hope you take time to talk to your kids about their day and how they are doing in school. The biggest concern the last few years has been mental health and we want our children to be happy, enjoy life and learning.
