EGR Awards: they review us all the time... Let's review them!

The Annual EGR awards was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane and attended by more than 600 people from across the online gambling industry. I was pretty excited to attend, as every year, and I came back home pretty satisfied, both in terms of fun and PR. Overall I consider it another success by EGR. Well done!

But this morning I came up with an idea... why not to give a REVIEW of what it is the most famous event organized by EGR. As they are so used to review everybody, I think they deserve one!

Some of you knows that in my early 20's I worked as a journalist and sometimes that part of me comes out... suddenly... like today.

Andy Roocroft is usually my touching point at EGR, let's reverse the role for one time.

THE REVIEWS

• THE HOST

He was fun and did a amazing job entertaining the audience. Very good also when the audience became pretty noisy (and not very respectful to be honest) and he had to take back the "control" of it.

• SPEECH

Definitely right the decision to avoid any kind of speeches. It keeps the ceremony nice and smooth. To be repeated.

• THE AWARDS

This awards year after year gained the respect of the whole eGaming community. I believe is about time to revamp the look of the trophy. It can look more premium.

• THE FOOD (I am Italian, so I take it very seriously! lol)

3 dishes meal is a nice decision. Loved the main course (super tender and delicious meat). I would definitely improve the starter... too much onion in it... not the best in an event where people talk a lot...

Drinks were amazing and really high standards.

Suggestions for EGR 2018

1. When the award is given, it would be nice to know why this company has been awarded. A 15 seconds video to explain the reasons why the jury took that decision should work great.
2. Make the trophy look more premium, maybe a nice re-style is needed.
3. Keep doing those events, EGR ROCKS!
