A Feathered Tribute: Celebrating the Impact of Enwealth Scholarship Program

Forget trophies. At Enwealth, gratitude sometimes comes with feathers.

Enwealth Financial Services CEO, FA Simon Wafubwa , was unexpectedly gifted a live chicken by a parent to a thankful child, a reminder that impact, when felt deeply, is expressed in the most authentic of ways.

This was during the Enwealth Foundation thanksgiving ceremony held on April 12, 2025 to honor the achievements of students who completed their KCSE in 2024, under the Fanisi Scholarship Program.

Established in 2012, the Enwealth Fanisi Scholarship Program supports gifted but financially challenged students through their secondary school education.

However, the Program goes beyond school fees. Fanisi also equips beneficiaries with mentorship, leadership training, and essential life skills.

So far, the program has disbursed more than KES 60 million, which has supported over 400 students.

Earlier this year, Enwealth's corporate social investment arm awarded scholarships worth KES 2 million to 40 students, thereby committing to KES 50,000 in 2025 per student.

"At Enwealth, we believe that education is the foundation for a brighter, more secure financial future. By supporting bright, and needy students, we are not just paying school fees; we are investing in future leaders who will drive economic growth and community development," John Kennedy Monyoncho , Director at Enwealth Financial Services had stated at the scholarship award ceremony.

Initiatives like Fanisi reflect Enwealth’s broader mission, empowering communities through financial literacy, access to opportunities, and a commitment to building generational impact.

As we continue to celebrate the journeys of these students, we’re reminded that true wealth isn’t just what’s saved or earned, it’s what’s shared.
