We overthink feedback. We wait for quarterly reviews. We script our words. We stress over tone.

Meanwhile, our team keeps working, wondering, “Am I doing it right?”

Truth is, feedback doesn’t need a stage.

  • It needs rhythm.

  • It needs to be part of the way we work, not a separate event.

Great leaders don’t just give feedback. They live it.


Akash Delayed Feedback, Rohit Delivered It Daily

Akash saw mistakes happening—a missed client commitment, a sloppy follow-up, a weak handoff. But he didn’t address it. He was “saving it” for their formal monthly reviews.

When he finally did share the feedback, it landed hard. “Why didn’t you tell me sooner?” the team asked. The moments had passed. The trust had thinned. Feedback felt like judgment, not guidance.

  4. Practice – Feedback isn’t complete until they try again—with support.

Application: How to Build Feedback Into Daily Culture

  • Use post-meeting minutes to share 1 quick positive + 1 coaching nudge.

  • Stack feedback: small, regular, layered—don’t wait for “perfect moments.”

  • Praise specifics, not just outcomes: “You handled that objection with empathy.”

  • Ask for feedback too: “Anything I can do better from your view?”

  • Make it safe—remove fear, add follow-up.


Signals You Might Be Delaying Useful Feedback

  • You feel nervous giving it, so you wait.

  • You wait for the “right setting” instead of addressing real-time.

  • Team members are surprised by your reviews.

  • Feedback comes as corrections, not conversations.

If it’s delayed, it’s diluted. Don’t save it. Share it.


Feedback Isn’t an Event, It’s a Leadership Language

The best cultures don’t schedule feedback. They weave it into the way people think, work, and win.

Be like Rohit. Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Speak in small signals. Invite dialogue. Practice the loop.
