Not one fox was shot today
The guns were oiled and put way
the flunkies cried 'we'll get no pay'
the protestors smiled for another day

Once the chase has begun
the hunters have fun,
but is it really worth the elation,
the thrill of the kill, the pain, the frustration

Wheres the sorrow, for the death of a life
Live and let live, abandon the gun or the knife

The creation of life is not ours for the taking
Let the animals live, give up this cruel game
As when bad luck befalls you, look to your deeds for the blame
 
Choose to be kind, not to inflict senseless pain
Is it worth your ego ? was there really much gain

There's a saying known by many 'we reap what we sow'
Dismiss at your peril you may have no regrets
But what goes around comes around on that you can bet

When sadness comes a knocking at your door
The fox's will gloat 'you'll kill us no more'
