FOSSA Systems and Astralintu Space Technologies Forge Strategic Collaboration to Deliver End-to-End IoT Connectivity Solutions in Ecuador and LATAM

Combining FOSSA’s nanosatellites with Astralintu’s equatorial ground infrastructure to deliver end-to-end IoT solutions for Ecuador, LATAM, and the Ibero-American space ecosystem.

Salt Lake City, Utah, 11 August 2025 — FOSSA Systems, a Spanish space technology company recognized for pioneering nanosatellite-based IoT services, and Astralintu Space Technologies, the leading provider in equatorial Ground Station as a Service (GSaaS), have entered into a strategic collaboration to deliver comprehensive IoT connectivity solutions.

The partnership leverages the complementary strengths of both companies:

  • FOSSA Systems brings its proven track record in the design, manufacturing, and deployment of small satellites, as well as IoT connectivity services for industries ranging from agriculture to defense. With more than 21 satellites launched since 2022 and a rapidly growing commercial portfolio, FOSSA is enabling cost-effective, real-time data access across the globe.

  • Astralintu Space Technologies contributes its strategic equatorial ground infrastructure in Ecuador, expertise in GSaaS operations, and long-standing relationships with both public and private stakeholders in the country and region. From its location on the equator, Astralintu provides unique advantages in satellite visibility and connectivity.

Together, the two companies aim to create an end-to-end IoT solution that integrates satellites, ground stations, and user applications, serving industries, communities, and institutions in Ecuador and across Latin America. The collaboration also aligns with broader efforts to expand sovereign space capabilities in the region.

“This partnership is not only about delivering advanced IoT connectivity,” said Matías Campos, CEO of Astralintu. “It is also about strengthening the Ibero-American space ecosystem, proving that collaboration between Europe and Latin America can generate innovative solutions with global impact.”

“Astralintu and FOSSA Systems are extremely well-positioned in the emerging nanosatellite infrastructure sector for applications varying from SIGINT to Tactical Communications or Satellite IoT. By joining forces with Astralintu, we combine the best of the space and ground segments to deliver resilient and accessible space solutions to the Ibero-American ecosystem. Julián Fernández, CEO

This collaboration is expected to support a wide range of applications:

  • Government and defense: enhancing connectivity and situational awareness.

  • Industry: enabling cost-effective data solutions for logistics, mining, agriculture, and energy.

  • Sustainability: supporting environmental monitoring and climate resilience.

By combining forces, FOSSA Systems and Astralintu are not only addressing local needs but also contributing to the development of the Ibero-American space economy, creating new opportunities for technological leadership and international cooperation.
