2025 THEME

Check In With A.S.K.

This year's Mental Health Action Day theme — "Check In With A.S.K." — offers a way to provide emotional support to the people in our lives.

Start with awareness — noticing someone who needs support. Then, take action by using A.S.K.:

  • Acknowledge their experiences and feelings

  • Support by asking what they need

  • Keep in touch regularly to show you care

BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

Companies Take Action for Mental Health Action Day

From supermarkets to engineering firms, businesses across the globe are taking steps today to support employee mental health.

Meteorite, HAA’s parent company, is hosting a virtual social hour to help colleagues connect over shared interests such as outdoor activities, creative hobbies, parenting, and reading. The goal is to help employees find common ground and build stronger working relationships.

Here’s how several organizations in HAA’s network are bringing this year’s “Check In With A.S.K.” theme to life.

EVENT INSIGHTS

2025 Workplace Mental Health Action Summit

At our 2025 Workplace Mental Health Action Summit, experts shared how courageous leadership can build more connected, resilient workplaces, especially during turbulent times. Watch the full recording, and see key takeaways below:

💡 Courage is contagious: Reframe courage as a leadership muscle. Model vulnerability, speak openly about challenges, and invite honest dialogue. Courage builds clarity, empathy, and trust across teams.

🧠 Psychological safety fuels innovation: When employees feel safe to take risks and express ideas, they’re more likely to be creative problem-solvers. Make space for questions, feedback, and even failure.

🌱 Resilience can be built: Regular listening sessions and transparent communication help teams thrive under pressure and develop perseverance.

🧭 Lead with purpose: Clarify your organization's "why" and connect it to everyday work. Purpose keeps people grounded in moments of change or uncertainty and supports mental health.
