From Mud Houses to City Skyline
The magic of art and craft can be mesmerizing in its every form- whether in its traditional forms or contemporized modern form, whether it is in humble hamlets or in skyscrapers of metros showcasing the modern lifestyle.
This software company wanted a happy, young and contemporary look for their knowledge BPO centre. The idea was to create a space that would be enjoyed by the employees and would impress their visitors as well.
Using traditional artforms, we created a range of murals for their interiors that was modern, yet rooted across the many cultures that their employees were from.
The wall mural in reception is done in vibrant, colors and depicts an urban landscape. Multiple crafts have been combined to create this mural- gond painting, a tribal art form from Madhya Pradesh; Lipan kaam (mud relief and mirror work done on the walls of mud houses in Kutch) and Wrought Iron figurines made by artisans of Chhattisgarh.
This art collage in the reception area was made with 3D blocks based on the Pa-kua symbol, popular in Feng Shui art to represent success and bring good vibrations. The basic elements- ether, earth, water, fire and sky are represented with different art forms.
We created blocks of color using mixed crafts like sparkling Lippankaam and Wrought iron.
Continuing the same vibrant look, we did a Tree of Life Mural in gond painting style for their executive dining area.
A beautiful Madhubani mural adorns the lobby outside the conference room.
